TEA FRENCH TOAST: BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS

I am a breakfast fanatic! It is my personal option that it doesn’t need to be morning time to enjoy breakfast. I don’t always have time in the morning for breakfast so I find nothing wrong with eating it for lunch, or dinner, or dessert, or second dessert. One of my favorite breakfast foods is tea French toast and now it can be yours too!

I used my favorite tea blend number 28 and infused it into milk then used the milk to make the French toast. Easy breezy.

To begin, pour the milk into a small saucepan. Let it simmer on medium-low heat right until it’s just about to boil. Don’t actually let it boil otherwise the milk will be burned. Place the tea bags into the milk and let them steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and reserve the tea infused milk.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and melt a pat of butter. Slowly pour the milk into the egg and vanilla mixture, stirring as it’s poured. Be sure the milk isn’t poured too quickly otherwise it will cook the eggs. Submerge a piece of bread into the egg and milk mixture until it’s fully soaked. Place the bread into the pan and cook it until it becomes golden brown on both sides. Repeat until all of your servings have cooked.

Pour syrup over the French toast and top off with your favorite toppings. Below are some examples of toppings that would work well with this recipe

  • Strawberries
  • Raspberries
  • Blueberries
  • Almond Slices
  • Nutella
  • Peanut butter
  • Banana slices
  • Whipped cream
  • Powdered sugar
