Have you ever tried pu-erh tea? You can also sometimes find it spelled pu’er. I’ve found that it’s not an easy task to find pu-erh, at least in my neck of the woods. Pu-erh is fermented tea that is traditionally produced in Yunnan Province, China. It comes from the leaves a tree that only grows in this region. The flavor is earthy and has a slight essence of mushroom flavor. Everything about pu-erh is right up my alley and it’s been on the back of my mind for a while now. There’s no better time than the present, right? This Sunday I’m sipping on an awesome blend of pu-erh, it’s cocoa mint pu-erh from Choice Organics
This tea is a darker tasting tea. It is subtly sweet due to the cocoa and cool due to the mint. It’s so indulgent and smooth! It reminds me of dessert in a tea cup and it’s really very pleasant to sip on! Also, who doesn’t love the combination of mint with chocolate? I highly recommend this tea for mint lovers. And chocolate lovers. And pu-erh lovers!
I had never tried tea from Choice Organics before and their cocoa mint pu-erh blend has me sold. I’m so excited to try their other teas!
How has your Sunday been? What are you sipping on today?
