It’s immune-support season! With the arrival of fall, we could all use a little help with boosting our immune system. An easy way to get our immune systems stronger is by adding medicinal herbs to our daily routine. Luckily, herbal tea provides a delicious and fun way to do that! We have a blend specially made for the fall season, and it’s called Elder.

Made from all organic elderberries, clove, ginger root, lemon peel and Ceylon cinnamon. The taste is unbelievable! If you’ve never tried elderberries before, they are a bit tart and bitter. The clove, ginger root, lemon peel and Ceylon cinnamon provide a punch of flavor that is reminiscent of a sweet pie! In my opinion, it has fall written all over it! Not to mention elderberry is packed with antioxidants and vitamins that are known to give your immune system a boost.

Elder can also be made into a syrup. If you’ve never heard of elderberry syrup, I highly suggest giving it a try and adding it to your fall routine. I have included a recipe below, let me know what you think! If you’re not into drinking syrup, that’s totally fine. Enjoy a nice cup of Elder tea instead!

  • 3 1/2 cups of spring water
  • 1 cup of loose leaf Elder tea
  • 1 cup of raw honey

  1. Combine the water and loose leaf tea in a large saucepan.
  2. Cover the saucepan with a lid and bring the contents to a boil.
  3. Remove the lid and reduce to a simmer. Simmer for 45 minutes, or until the liquid has reduced to about half.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the burner and discard the looseleaf tea.
  5. Add raw honey and stir to combine.
  6. Pour the syrup into a mason jar and allow it to cool to room temperature before storing in the refrigerator.
